Buckingham South is an Assisted Living Facility located in Savannah, Georgia.  This facility houses approximately 80 guests in a state of the art building.  Indoor air quality and comfort are of the utmost importance in this residence, thus a water sourced heat pump plant was the choice for conditioning the indoor air in an energy efficient manner.  

Challenge

The water sourced heat pump plant for this facility was having multiple failure problems due to an disfuntional automated diagnostic control program.

Solution

 The original controls platform was removed and replaced with a Carrier iVue Automated System.  Pete Solis of SES diagnosed the problems immediately, installed the new controls, and the failure problems were instantly remedied. 

Results

The installation of the iVue control network, now allows the facilities manager to remotely access the entire plant from any internet portal.  The cost savings on repairs and less downtime as a result of the new system has been significant.  The facilty manager now has the peace of mind knowing that if the system begins to faulter in any way, he will receive an alert e-mail from iVue immediately allowing him to remotely solve the problem when it occurs.
